Jessica Paster explained that she had worked with Aubrey Plaza for nearly 17 years and had aimed for a look that was both attractive and contemporary, reflecting current fashion trends. During the interview, Paster mentioned that she had collaborated with Michael Kors for many years, and she found his concept for the occasion to be an excellent fit for herself and Aubrey. She further added that whenever she described her vision for an outfit to Michael, he always managed to understand it perfectly.

Aubrey Plaza, who stars in The White Lotus, had multiple dress fittings leading up to the 2023 SAG Awards. During the event on February 26th, the 38-year-old donned a custom Michael Kors Collection gown in bronze, which boasted a crisscross neckline and a midriff cut-out. After an Instagram post on February 27th revealed the designer details of her attire, a user left a comment stating that the straps could have been better adjusted but complimented the color and the hair and makeup. Jessica, in response, disclosed that they had conducted seven fittings and added a smiling face with hearts emoji.

Aubrey, who won the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series award alongside her co-stars from The White Lotus, revealed that her Mouawad jewelry and dress paid homage to the retro era.
