He says the creators focus on following authentic stories—those of interest. Whether or not a couple got engaged or didn’t, the chosen ones are the ones that can fit in the parameters of a TV series and are compelling enough for viewers.

What About the Aaliyah-Lydia Storyline?

Coelen explains that conversations they may have had, which Aaliyah found upsetting, were done off-camera, so he has no idea of the extent of their feelings toward each other. And if one or the other alludes to such a conversation, the team can’t know what they’re talking about for sure.

The Reunion – Will JP and Taylor Appear?

Coelen admits that he was wrong in thinking JP and Taylor – two favorites from Love is Blind, were meant to be. He thought they would get married after the engagement but appeared to be wrong.

They have both been invited to the reunion, but it’s up to them to show up. Colen says he can only guess why their love fell apart after the series but could never actually know.

Is Milton in Love With Lydia?
